Winter Park Resort will normally receive an average of 359 inches of snow per year. Ski season 2008/2009 there were 378 with lots of snow, that in the months of April and May months. El Niño climate is typically drier in the northern parts of North America, and very wet in the southern areas from Texas to Florida. For the central mountainsColorado is a bit ambiguous. The last El Niño years Winter Park received a ton of early snow, with drier than normal January and February, March and April with a killer. This was a mild El Nino in 2005/2006.

Here are the annual snowfall totals in the resort over the past decade in mm:

2007-2008 389.2
