Everyone has a different idea of what has in the winter. There are those who can not wait to be shot on your way down a snowy mountain on a board or two. Some excitement at racing through a field of snow on a snowmobile. Then,There are some who walk by it on snow or gliding over it in a Nordic style like. There are even some who just want to lay there and "snow angels" to do so.
Still others ignore, play in the snow, and then turn on a frozen lake for ice skating and ice fishing. For those a little less stressful, Idaho communities have different colorful winter carnival, complete with ice sculptures, musical entertainment and fireworks.

Ski Resorts
Idaho has 18 ski centers and resorts with a total area of 16,000 hectares of tests for everyone, from beginners to experts. Some of them have guided snowcat tours with access to thousands of additional acres of pristine powder. The most famous is Sun Valley, the nation's first destination ski resort, near Ketchum. Other popular places are Schweitzer Mountain, found in the "panhandle" of the state "near Sandpoint, Bogus BasinMountain, near Boise, and Grand Targhee, not far from Driggs. Most ski resorts in Idaho have designated areas for snowboarders and tubers, and many paths for those in Nordic style, cross-maintained enjoy activities.
Nordic Cross-Country Skiing
