I got a pair of these boots from a local store because I wanted to try them on prior to buying. They are wonderful. They run true to size (with maybe a little extra room for thick socks) and are pretty to boot. They are extremely warm and easy to put on and take off. No contortionists needed to get them off. They kept my feet warm in -15 degree weather and the treads kept me from skidding on the snow and ice. They are pretty lightweight and are definitely waterproof. The rise is high enough that you'd have to walk through a pretty deep drift to get snow into the boot but it isn't too high that it makes it uncomfortable to walk or move.

They look like they are going to last a long time so I won't need to buy another pair any time soon, but if I do want a second pair, I will buy this same boot again without a second thought.

Play In The Snow In Idaho

Those who know, play head to Idaho in the snow when it blankets the state in the open. Blue skies and bone-deep powder are Idaho promises fun, without the masses. It's the perfect scene-setting for the variety of activities in the winter.

Everyone has a different idea of what has in the winter. There are those who can not wait to be shot on your way down a snowy mountain on a board or two. Some excitement at racing through a field of snow on a snowmobile. Then,There are some who walk by it on snow or gliding over it in a Nordic style like. There are even some who just want to lay there and "snow angels" to do so.

Still others ignore, play in the snow, and then turn on a frozen lake for ice skating and ice fishing. For those a little less stressful, Idaho communities have different colorful winter carnival, complete with ice sculptures, musical entertainment and fireworks.

Winter activities that are fun you best?Whatever it is, Idaho has it!

Ski Resorts

Idaho has 18 ski centers and resorts with a total area of 16,000 hectares of tests for everyone, from beginners to experts. Some of them have guided snowcat tours with access to thousands of additional acres of pristine powder. The most famous is Sun Valley, the nation's first destination ski resort, near Ketchum. Other popular places are Schweitzer Mountain, found in the "panhandle" of the state "near Sandpoint, Bogus BasinMountain, near Boise, and Grand Targhee, not far from Driggs. Most ski resorts in Idaho have designated areas for snowboarders and tubers, and many paths for those in Nordic style, cross-maintained enjoy activities.

Nordic Cross-Country Skiing

Are incredible beauty and calm serenity of the Idaho outdoors enjoying the winter best on skinny cross country skis. Some trails are well kept and maintained as found in ski resorts. Or doTheir own way.

The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR) has a unique program called Park N 'for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. IDPR Functions Weg 13 systems in the state. The program is in some places overnight yurt lodging. Other locations in the program have picnic areas, warming huts and toilets.

Snowmobile

Idaho has 7200 miles of perfectly groomed trails and endless miles of unexplored, fresh powder on the snowmobile. WithSeason runs from November to April, you have plenty of time to be found in the picturesque countryside around the country.

Snowmobiling on groomed trails and public country does not require registration or approval, but it is recommended that you obtain permission from landowners if you want to sled on private land. Many stores snowmobiling in the communities close to snowmobile areas are available to rent if you do not own or bring your equipment.
